A Live 4-Week Webinar Series
This series is perfect for newcomers or self-taught users who want to revisit the basics, clean up their workflow, and feel more confident with SketchUp. You’ll strengthen the core tools, organize cleaner models, and set yourself up for reliable presentations.
Each week, you’ll join a 90-minute live session packed with hands-on demos, clear explanations, and interactive Q&A. Together we’ll cover efficient navigation, groups vs. components, tags and Outliner for structure, materials and styles for clarity, scenes and simple animations, and how to export clean, client-ready views.
What you will learn
Session 1
September 9, 2025
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM EDT
Getting Comfortable with the Core Tools
Get familiar with the interface and navigation, learn the inference system, and practice the core drawing and modifying tools (Line, Rectangle, Push/Pull, Move, Rotate). Understand groups vs. components and save views with scenes to move through your model more efficiently.
Session 2
September 16, 2025
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM EDT
Organizing Your Model the Right Way
Structure your model with tags and the Outliner for clean organization and better performance. Name, nest, and update components, set up file templates, and adopt workflow habits that keep projects fast and predictable.
Session 3
September 23, 2025
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM EDT
Materials, Styles, and Clear Communication
Apply and edit materials, position and align textures correctly, and use Styles and shadows to communicate design intent. Create clear, consistent views that make your models easy to read and present.
Session 4
September 30, 2025
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM EDT
Scenes, Exports, and Simple Presentations
Build scenes, export high-quality images, and get a quick intro to LayOut for creating 2D sheets. Wrap up with workflow tips and an open Q&A to reinforce your new foundation.
🚀 You’ll Walk Away With
- A solid foundation in SketchUp’s core tools and workflows
- Confidence working with groups, components, tags, and scenes
- Cleaner, more organized models that are easier to edit and share
- Practical strategies for applying materials, styles, and exporting views
- Access to session recordings to reinforce what you learn
✨Attend Live or On Your Own Schedule
All sessions are recorded and shared shortly after each class. Whether you join live or prefer to learn at your own pace, you’ll have full access to the material.
Some participants attend every session live, while others catch up with the recordings—both approaches work well, and you’ll receive the same content, demos, and resources either way.
Please note that live Q&A and support are available during the scheduled course dates. If you’re watching recordings after the series has ended, I’m happy to help with brief follow-up questions when possible, but in-depth support may require joining the next live run or booking private training.
❗Additional Note
SketchUp for iPad: While useful for on-site markups and presentations, it’s not ideal for full production workflows. This course is focused on the desktop version of SketchUp.
